Furniture is at the core of what we do. The care we take on our furniture is not limited to design and manufacturing only from our suppliers. We constantly strive to improve the environmental impact of our activities and achieve sustainable operations. Below we have highlighted some of the most important factors in our continued efforts.

... is at the centre of what we do. It is one of our core values to reduce the effect of our operations on the environment. We meet all applicable requirements and standards and seek to exceed and improve these where ever possible.

Chipboard is predominantly made from surplus wood. To a large degree chipboard comes from cut-offs and chips from sawmills, residue wood from the forest, recycle-wood as well as scrapwood from manufacturing processes.

The chipboard used in our manufacturing processes is selected with great care, and no wood material comes from critical sources. All chipboard will come from controlled sources which means that the origin can be traced. Approx. 90% of all chipboard used is from controlled sources, and we work with the remaining suppliers to establish tracing systems.

Our manufacturing systems are certified according to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) standards.

We seek to improve the effect on the indoor climate.

... meeting the requirements according to the E1 emission standard. This is continuously audited by independent third party laboratories. Our aim is to manufacture and sell products with the lowest possible emissions, and we support chipboard manufacturers in reaching these goals on a sustainable basis.

We do not use PVC in our products.

We seek to improve the effect on the indoor climate.

We only use UV-lacquer which does not contain solvents.

All our furniture is flat-pack, which is considerably more energy-efficient to transport than pre-assembled pieces. All chipboards coming from international suppliers are delivered by train.

All suppliers must meet our Code of Conduct to confirm the non-use of hazardous materials, social responsibility etc. Suppliers are audited to this Code of Conduct.

... is everybody's responsibility and we want to improve on all levels.

... of our operations. Waste is being reduced where possible, e.g. by improving the cutting profiles of each chipboard. All residue chipboard from manufacturing is recycled, either back into new chipboards or incinerated to heat our offices and factories.
